A look at wccusd.net

One Front Door for West Contra Costa

Most districts hear the same thing. Families can't find the answer, so they call or email the district. So we looked up three everyday questions on wccusd.net, the way a new family, a parent and a neighbor would. About 100 seconds.

What we found

Three Everyday Questions. Three Paths.

A new family wants to enroll

The steps are on Enrollment and Registration, registration is in a portal, and the appointment is a third step. When a family gets stuck, they call.

A parent asks about a free bus pass

The rules are on Bus Transportation, the application is in the parent portal, and the due date comes from the school office. Three places for one answer.

A neighbor asks which school serves their street

The FAQ answers the question and points to a separate School Locator tool.

What one front door changes

Your site already has good answers, like how to apply for a free bus pass. schoolAgent answers from that content. A new family's appointment request goes to Enrollment with the details, typed once. And the neighbor's question goes to the right office, so nobody gets passed around.

How we made this

We looked up a handful of everyday questions on wccusd.net the way a family or neighbor would. What we found is common. Each department added its own tools over the years. Everything here comes from your public website, and we haven't posted it anywhere. The schoolAgent scenes are a concept view.
